This is the fourth post in a series of six that will share the images I captured whilst a brand ambassador for Pentax. See more on the series page.

February 2016

Original series description

February has been an interesting and varied month photographically, so these shots are from a variety of locations.

The first two are from Hever Castle in Kent; it was a dull and rainy day but the soft light really brought out the texture of the stonework and statues.

The next six shots are from an early morning sunrise at Walton on the Naze in Essex; our 5am wake-up call was rewarded with crisp winter air and a beautiful, clear sunrise. The light was beautiful!

The final two shots are from the reptile house of ZSL London; a small green tree frog and an axolotl. I was very impressed with how the K3II handled the low light, noise and camera movement - aquaria and reptile houses are typically challenging places to take photographs due the subdued light but I did not feel limited by the technology this time.
